Bandhani is a traditional technique used to create a tie-dye effect. The cloth is pinched and tightly wrapped with thread at regular intervals, which is then dyed. Once the thread is removed, the dot effect becomes visible. 
Please note: There may still be threads on your cloth, this is not a flaw, but shows that it is handmade. To remove, simply pull the cloth taught, and pull the end of the thread, which will unravel and reveal the dot!
